to Caesar what is Caesar's. . .

Does any people really have a right to any land? Should we return the Lenni Lenape to New Jersey? Should I have a right to Hungary, as my forebears owned cabbage farms there? Do the Jews deserve their land? Do the Palestinians? Should religious delusions really inform geopolitics?

But can it not, of course, is the response. What do we do with other's delusions? Are people entitled, from a universal human rights perspective, to make claims on property based on religious principles? Can we answer this in any kind of universal sense?

The only rational answer is to allow religious beliefs within the individual, but to disallow their claims on the real world. To Caesar what is Caesar's.
